Individual Counseling

The primary goal of individual counseling is to increase understanding of your thoughts and feelings and how they may impact your behaviors. Throughout our time together, we will learn how to effectively manage stress, deepen interpersonal relationships, identify maladaptive tendencies, and reframe dysfunctional thought patterns.

Challenges include:

  • ADHD/ADD

  • Anxiety & Fear

  • Communication

  • Depression

  • Disordered Eating

  • Body Grief

  • Grief and Loss

  • Gender Dysphoria

  • LGBTQIA+

  • Personality Disorders

  • Sexuality

  • Mood Disorders

  • Loneliness

  • Addiction

As a client, your primary job would be to determine what you would like to address in counseling and come prepared to explore. I strongly believe in the benefit of bibliotherapy, multimedia resources including relevant audio and video, role-playing, and humor. Based on your presenting concerns and therapeutic goals, individual counseling ranges from three months to yearly treatment. Many clients also receive benefits from long-term maintenance counseling which compliments each season of life.
